Connect an AI assistant to RoofWise Guide

Connect
ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT Connectors → Advanced and enable Developer mode (heed the risk notice shown there).
- In the chat composer's "+" menu, turn on Developer mode.
- Click "Add sources", then "Connect more".
- Name the connector "RoofWise Guide" and paste the MCP URL above.
- Sign in with your RoofWise Guide account, then ask ChatGPT to use it.
Claude
- Open Claude's Add custom connector page.
- Name the connector "RoofWise Guide" and paste the MCP URL above.
- Sign in with your RoofWise Guide account.
- Enable the connector from the chat composer, then ask Claude to use RoofWise Guide.
Refresh after the app changes
Assistants cache the tool list. After we ship updates, refresh the connector to pick up new tools.
ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT's app preferences and pick RoofWise Guide under "Enabled apps".
- Next to "Information", click "Refresh".
- If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
- Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use RoofWise Guide.
Claude
- Open the Connectors page and select the RoofWise Guide connector.
- Refresh or update the connector's tools.
- If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
- Ask Claude to use RoofWise Guide.
Once connected, your assistant can browse the RoofWise calculator catalog and read your own saved chat threads on your behalf.
