Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: July 24, 2026
The short version
RoofWise Guide participates in affiliate programs. Some links on this site โ including product recommendations, comparisons, and tool round-ups โ are affiliate links. When you click one and then buy something from the merchant, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
How we choose what to recommend
- Editorial independence. Products are selected by our editorial team based on quality, price, warranty, and homeowner reviews. Merchants do not pay for placement in our recommendations or comparison guides.
- Commission does not equal endorsement. We link to plenty of products, services, and manufacturers where we earn nothing at all.
- Prices and availability. Prices, ratings, and availability shown come from the merchant and can change without notice. Always confirm on the merchant's site before buying.
What "affiliate" means here
Every outbound product link on RoofWise Guide is routed through a tracked redirect (/go/<slug>). That lets us measure which recommendations are useful, detect broken links, and โ where a program pays commission โ attribute the referral. We do not add tracking that follows you around the internet, and we do not sell your data.
Programs we participate in
RoofWise Guide is a participant in affiliate programs including, but not limited to, Amazon Associates, Home Depot, Lowe's, and select manufacturer and roofing-tool programs. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
FTC compliance
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising." Individual pages that contain affiliate links also carry an inline disclosure so readers are informed at the point of click.
Questions
If a link ever feels misleading, out of date, or broken, please tell us through the contact page and we will review it.
